6-2-2008 Donnie competed this past weekend in the final stretch
of the IRS "Rapid Refund Week" Points chase. They started the
weekend out at Skyline Speedway in Stewart, OH. Moran started
out the evening at Skyline with a 5th place qualification run.
This would transfer Donnie to start 5th in his heat race were he
would race to a 4th place finish. This was good enough to make
it to the main event. Donnie started out the A-Main in the 14th
position and after 50 hard charging laps Donnie would end up
7th. With one race left in "Rapid Refund Week" points Team DMR
was off next to Sharon Speedway in Hartford, OH. Donnie has
always been know to run well at Sharon and it was no exceptions
for qualifying as Donnie went out and set fast time. This would
transfer Donnie to start 4th in his heat race were he would hold
position to finish 4th. This would allow him to run the Dash
event were he would start 5th and finish 5th. Donnie would then
start 5th in the main event, he raced his way to 2nd place
position until on lap 46 he would be able to get around race
leader Doug Horton to captures Donnie's first win of 2008. Moran
once again showed he had the skill to bring his Eddie's Sunoco,
C&J Excavating, Custom Cutters, Donnie Moran Racing Driving
School sponsored MasterSbilt Chassis to Victory Lane. With the
win at Sharon Donnie also captured the $1,500 "Rapid Refund
Week" 5 race race mini points championship. For the most up to
